New Year tips to get you organised for this new year.

Do you cringe when you think of all the things you have to do in the new year? Do you make new years resolutions you know you won't keep? Do you want to get more organised this year?

Well, January is the time to start. Start now and you will have a much easier year.

First of all get rid of all that Christmas stuff. Throw out all those broken Christmas decorations and store the rest in clear plastic boxes with lids ready for next Christmas. Also dispose or recycle all those Christmas cards and Christmas presents that you don't really like or want.

Now find a place for everything. All the new goodies you got for Christmas need to go somewhere so you have to find a place for them. Then get rid of all the old and the ugly things by putting them in a charity bin. By giving everything a home you are helping to preserve it, are maximising storage space and making sure you are in control of your stuff and not the other way around.

Etc etc.

1. Clear

Clear the Christmas clutter.

Throw out broken, unused decorations.

Store the rest in clear plastic boxes with lids, minimising next year's searching time.

Dispose, recycle, frame or collage Christmas cards. Do the same with any undesired Christmas presents.

2. Control

Give everything a place.
Ensure all new goodies have their own place and recycle the old and ugly.

Giving everything a home preserves it, maximises storage space and lets you be in control of your stuff, not the other way around.

Etc, etc
