How to use the Template Demo site

In the box above this text you can choose different website styles from the dropdown box. After clicking "Select", the style will be applied to this site so you can get a better idea of how it will look.

On the left menu (this is sometimes not present on certain styles, at which point we move the menu to another location if you choose the design) you can find links to example pages.

  • Heading Styles: This illustrates the basic text colours and sizes (this can be easily modified).
  • News Blog: An example of a news-type of feed, where you can have a list of introduction text and the visitor can click "Read More" to see the entire article. The number of leading stories and columns can be adjusted.
  • News Table: An example of a tabular view of the same information from the News Blog.
  • Site Login: The standard login form.
  • Contact Us: The basic contact page.

What to keep in mind when looking

There may be other colour themes

Often these existing designs come in multiple colours -- it's just that only one is shown on this demo website at any given time. So if there's a style that appeals to you but the colour theme doesn't work, then let us know and we can tell you whether there are other colour options available. Some designs have up to 10 variations!

This is a generic, minimalistic layout

When creating this demo website, the idea was to show these designs in their most basic form. We turned off many non-essential features for simplicity, but can turn them back on as you need them.

Specific design notes

Due to the generic nature of this demo website, some of the templates may not have elements configured correctly (as they would impact on others). Please note:

  • rt_mobius_j15: The left menu items are not meant to extend outside of the stylish border and spill into the rest of the design. This menu requires special configuration that will be done if chosen.
  • rt_perihelion_j15: The left menu items are not meant to extend outside of the stylish border and spill into the rest of the design. This menu requires special configuration that will be done if chosen.
  • rt_replicant2_j15: The "submenu" arrows on the menus are meant to be reversed. eg, at the moment the menu items with submenus do not have the arrows while the ones that don't do.
