K is a Cairns songwriter and musician building a reputation in the local industry.

Project Scope

Domain registration, coding and hosting of a website with client-developed graphics and content.  We also provided marketing advice so that the website is a valuable promotional tool for the music industry.

Project Overview

K originally wanted a small web site to support the release of her first CD.  She saved money on development by developing the graphics and the content herself, using RuttenTech for domain registration, coding and hosting the site.

As K's career has grown, so has her website.  The RuttenTech team recommended several marketing initiatives that have now been built into the site, with the objective of getting maximum exposure in the music industry and to reduce the administration for K.  Features include:
  • Press Page: High resolution pictures and specific career details, designed as a one-stop shop for any press enquiries or music reviews.
  • External Links: K's music is being referenced on several other sites which her page links to.  The linked sites provide music download and sales facilities that would otherwise be expensive for K to establish herself.
  • Photo Gallery: Designed specifically for venue managers to get a feel for  who K is and what her live performances are like.
Now K has had several radio interviews including with the ABC, launched two CDs and has regular gigs around the Cairns region.
