2006 (Specialised Website), 2009 Project OverviewAs a larger organisation, Terrain has developed a strong brand and corporate image over years of work in the sector. As part of this development, Terrain approached RuttenTech to help with their new website re-development. With an existing website by RuttenTech, the main aim was to upgrade their Joomla code-base (from the Joomla 1.0 framework to 1.5) to add new functionality and security features. The upgrade also presented an opportunity to refresh some of the site elements and renew their content structures. After looking through available systems, we installed a new frontpage rotator system that allows staff to add/change the images on the front page easily, and annotate each image. The "locked" pages house an extensive staff "intranet" which has functions such as profiles, forums and a news and calendar system. A great looking, unique website with lots of functionality for an organisation working hard to protect and manage our natural heritage.
