Radio 3GG has been an integral part of the Gippsland Community since launching in May 1937. Offering a ‘Widest Variety of Music' format 3GG incorporates a mix of Music, Competitions, Entertainment, News, Live AFL Coverage and General Interest Programs - along with regular community service announcements, local events sponsorship, and of course keeping residents as informed as possible with emergency incidents like our recent bushfires.

Project Overview

It's always fun to do a project for other areas in the media - the team at Radio 3GG basically talk & work with their local community as a profession - so fun is part of the job!  The main aims of the site were to showcase their on-air personalities, literally putting a face to the voice on the radio.  Another service that they wanted to provide was to non-profits & community organisations via their "community switch" program. 

RuttenTech was able to provide a simple system where the public can add their events to the community calendar, with moderation via the station staff.  With the team in Victoria, Ruttentech were also able to deliver training sessions remotely via tele-conference (even though the staff volunteered for a trip to sunny Cairns!)
