Work Experience at RuttenTech
Written by Taylor Dale

My name is Taylor Dale and for the past few days, I have been doing some work experience at Ruttentech with Rob and Joyce, and it has given me a great insight into what it is like having a job in IT, working from 9 to 5 every day. Along with this I have learnt many great skills (including the art of making a good coffee).

2009 Holiday Hours & Contacts
Written by Robert Rutten

Another year has come and gone, and RuttenTech would like to wish you the best for the holidays this year. It has been a big year for us, with Joyce joining the team (full time), some office renovations, new customer support software, REAL holidays for all our staff (first time ever!) and of course, LOTS of websites!

Holiday Office Hours

We will be closing the office over the Christmas period, from the 22nd of December to the 2nd of January. So, in other words the last day we will be in the office is Friday 19th of December, and we will be back in the office and raring to go on the 5th of January.

Holiday Support Services
Of course, we will be monitoring our servers and systems during that period. If you have any queries or support issues during this period we will only be able to provide support via our Customer Support Portal.

Server Migration
Written by Robert Rutten

Recently, the suppliers of our Brisbane Datacenter facilites have decided to reduce their SLA's  - unfortunately this happened with short notice and we had to make a tough decision, and we have started migrating our servers from Brisbane to a larger, more secure Sydney based datacenter.

The impact should be minimal, as we are doing all the techno-geek wizardry in the background to make things move across smoothly.  However, if you are experiencing any problems with email or web access, please contact us (by phone!) and we will look into it.

FNQ.net.au: An Email Alternative
Written by Robert Rutten

Have you ever changed your ISP (internet providor) and then had to go through the painful task of emailling all your friends with a new email address?

Or have you ever been too scared to move ISP even though there is a better deal elsewhere - just because you would lose your email address that everyone knows?

The answer is simple

Get your own email address that YOU control and have your own name.  FNQ.net.au offers an alternative email service, one that can follow you around for years uninterrupted.

New Billing System
Written by Robert Rutten

If you are one of our (wonderful) clients, then at some stage you will be starting to get emails from the newest member of our team...

"The RuttenTech Invoice Robot"

As part of our new systems, the invoice robot is starting with sending out our renewal notices - in time we will be expanding the facilities to include collecting payments and you will have your own "client area" that you can log in and manage your accounts and request support.

More to come soon!
